Based in rural North Nottinghamshire and set on a peaceful bridleway, Coloured Cob is blessed with some of the most stunning countryside for pony trekking in the UK. Most of our pony trekks take us through the archaeological beauty spot of Creswell Crags, which is a limestone gorge, honeycombed with caves that date back to the Ice Age and provide a quite breath-taking trekking experience.
There are a range of ponies and horses to suit pony trekkers of all sizes and abilities.

For those riders who are competent in trot, why not enjoy our famous pub ride at the local Elm Tree Pub, which includes a snack & drink. Or for the more experienced rider why not try our exhilarating forest ride? Speak to us to today to arrange your trek.
Coloured cob can cater for pony trekking parties from 1 rider upwards. If you particularly request a larger group we can accommodate up to 25 riders at one time i.e birthday’s or hen parties.

BETA Standards. Safety First
We provide the hats (up to current BETA standards) or if you bring your own, we will check that it is up to current to standards as your safety is paramount to us. We would kindly ask that you wear suitable footwear and long trousers to the ankle. We do have a tack shop on site if you’d like to purchase any equestrian wear. On arrival, you will asked to complete paperwork and then you’ll be taken to the mounting block (as this is kinder for the horse) to get on your horse.
There is a weight limit of 15 stone
We do weigh new riders on arrival and we are insured for children to ride from the age of 2yrs.
